As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Redstone Investments, Lee Burdman brings more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, finance, and asset management. He began his career at Burdman Brothers Companies, a family real estate firm in Youngstown, Ohio, gaining early hands-on experience in property management, financing, leasing, and new development.
Lee’s commercial development journey began when he and his cousin, Jonathan Levy, co-founded JLB Investments, later evolving into Redstone Investments. Under their leadership, and nearly 35 years later, Redstone has grown into a diversified real estate investment firm with a portfolio of more than 4 million square feet across 15 states. Lee also helped expand the Redstone platform to include Redstone Commercial, a brokerage and asset management company, and Redstone Funding, a successful note acquisition business.
Beyond Redstone, Lee serves on the boards of United Community Financial Corp., Cardinal Commerce Corporation, Simco Management Corp., and most recently WesBanco. He is also deeply involved in the community, serving on the boards of Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, Temple El Emeth, and the Youngstown State University Foundation, where he is a past Chairman. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He lives in Canfield, Ohio with his wife Bonnie and their three children, Korey, Taylor, and Lexi.
