Lee is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Redstone Investments and has more than 30 years of extensive real estate business experience. Lee began his career with Burdman Brothers Companies, a family-held real estate development firm based in Youngstown, Ohio, where he managed existing properties, procured new financing, leased new space, and served as a principal in numerous new development projects.
In 1987, Lee and his cousin, Jonathan Levy, founded JLB Investments, which in 1991, became Redstone Investments. Headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio with an office in Tampa, Florida, Redstone’s portfolio is currently comprised of more than four million square feet of commercial real estate located in 15 states.
Through their leadership, Lee and Jonathan expanded the Redstone portfolio to include Redstone Commercial LLC, a real estate brokerage entity that also provides asset management services for financial institutions and other third parties. And, in 2011, they established Redstone Funding, LLC , an entity which has had tremendous success buying notes from numerous financial institutions throughout the United States.
Lee serves on the Board of Directors of United Community Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: UCFC) and its subsidiary, The Home Savings and Loan Company. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Cardinal Commerce Corporation, a Cleveland-based company engaged in the authentication of electronic payments and in the enabling of secure transactions and mobile payments for both e-commerce and mobile commerce. Lee is a member of the Board of Simco Management Corp., a full-service apartment management company that owns and manages apartments and mobile home sites throughout northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Simco also manages related entities involved in the exploration and production of natural gas and oil.
Lee is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and currently sits on the boards of numerous community organizations, including the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation and its investment committee, Temple El Emeth, and the Youngstown State University Foundation, where he is a past Chairman.
Lee holds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan, College of Literature, Science & Arts. He lives in Canfield, Ohio with his wife Bonnie, and children, Korey, Taylor and Lexi.
