Jonathan Levy is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Redstone Investments, bringing over 40 years of experience in real estate development, finance and construction. Jon began his career in 1978 as an intern at Burdman Brothers, a family-owned real estate, construction, and property management firm. After earning his degree from Syracuse University, he joined Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC) in 1983 as a commercial real estate lender, setting the foundation for his expertise in the industry.
In 1988, Jon partnered with his cousin, Lee Burdman, to establish JLB Investments, which later evolved into Redstone Investments in 1991. Founded in Youngstown, Ohio, Redstone began as a development, management, and acquisitions firm with a strong focus on shopping center development. Today, Redstone’s portfolio spans more than 4 million square feet of commercial real estate across 15 states, with an emphasis on shopping center development.
Beyond his leadership at Redstone, Jon has served on the Board of Directors of numerous financial institutions both Public and Private. Currently he serves on Renasant Bancorporation (NYSE: RNST). He served for 11 years on Huntington Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ: HBAN), contributing to the Executive and Risk Oversight committees. Previously, he spent eight years on the board of Sky Financial Group —five of those as Lead Director—before its acquisition by Huntington in 2007. His expertise has also extended to the boards of other publicly and privately held bank holding companies. In addition, Jon has been an active investor and partner in venture capital and private equity investments for many years.
Jon has been married to Karen Greenberg Levy for more than 36 years. Together, they have two children, Dori and Zack, and their family dog, Sammie. In his free time, Jon enjoys golfing, skiing, boating, and traveling with friends and family. A true sports enthusiast, he follows basketball, lacrosse, and ice hockey (go Bolts!) and never misses the opportunity to enjoy a great bottle of wine.
